Frequently asked questions
I'm a blind player. Where do I start?
From the Main Menu, open Tutorial first — it
teaches every haptic pattern step by step. Then explore the
Haptic Sandbox and
Audio Glossary
to learn the full vocabulary.
Haptic feedback isn't working.
Pulse Defense requires iPhone 8 or later (Taptic Engine). Check
Settings → Sounds & Haptics → System Haptics is ON. In the
app, Settings → Haptic Intensity should be above 0.
I lost my progress.
Game progress is saved locally per map. Resume points appear as
"Resume: Wave X/Y" badges on the Map Selection screen.
Reinstalling the app erases all progress (no iCloud sync in v1.1.9
— coming in v1.2).
VoiceOver isn't reading some elements.
Make sure you're running iOS 16 or later. If a specific button is
silent, please email us with the screen name — we'll fix it.
Can sighted and blind players play together?
Pulse Defense is single-player in v1.1.9. Multiplayer is on the
roadmap.
Is the game free? What do I get without paying?
Yes — Pulse Defense is free to download. Chapters 1–2 (6 maps and
7 towers) are fully playable at no cost, so you can experience the
haptic and audio gameplay before deciding to buy.
What does the $4.99 purchase unlock?
A single one-time purchase, Full Game Unlock,
opens Chapters 3–4 — the full campaign of 12 maps and 10 towers.
There are no subscriptions, no cosmetics, and no ads. It also
supports Family Sharing, so household members can play it too.
I bought the full game but it's locked on my other device.
Use Restore Purchases. It's available in
Settings and on the unlock screen. As long as
you're signed in with the same Apple ID, it re-activates Chapters
3–4 with no extra charge — useful after reinstalling or switching
devices.
Is there a refund policy?
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests should be made
through
reportaproblem.apple.com
within 90 days of purchase.
